Miami | No one is likely to tell him that, but more importantly, he has a fair chance of winning, so even if someone TRIED to tell him that, it would be wrong.

The Presidential electoral process is structurally so antidemocratic that *any* candidate with a major party’s support has about a 50% chance of winning.

In 2016, the winner of the election got about 3 million fewer votes, but won because of about 70,000 votes across three different States.

In 2020, the winner got about 7 million more votes than the loser, but if about 40,000 votes spread across a couple different States had been flipped, the election would have gone the other way.

That’s why everyone has to vote if they care at all about the system. Tiny discrepancies in vote total can have outsized impact on the result.
