ZANU PF supporters in Insiza North braved the cold weather to participate in the party’s primary elections to select a candidate for the vacant parliamentary seat.

ZANU PF politburo member Cde Headman Moyo who is presiding over the critical internal process commended the people of Insiza for turning out in their numbers

“We started the process around 0700 hours and it has been smooth. No violence and no intimidation, people are happy to vote for their preferred candidates. What impressed me most is the turnout at various polling stations which demonstrates that the party is alive.”

The constituency fell vacant following the death of sitting MP, Cde Farai Taruvinga, in March this year.

A total of seven candidates are contesting in the primaries: Moses Langa, Delani Moyo, Qhubani Moyo, Enerst Ncube, Nkosana Mtunzi, Davison Moyo, and Sfiso Mpofu.
